What Are Spirit Guides?
Spirit Guides are beings of Light who help us along our life journey who may, or may not have, previously incarnated in physical form.
Spirit Guides take on the role of guiding us in our life experiences and directing us to our life purpose. They can help us with all aspects of life including, but not limited to:
- Life choices & decision making
- Life purpose & career
- Relationships
- Spiritual development and evolution
- Psychic & Healing abilities
Normally, a Spirit Guide is a spirit who has lived several lifetimes on Earth (or other planets) and has “graduated” from physical incarnation, moving on to join the higher Beings of Light in the spiritual plane. However, not all Spirit Guides have incarnated on Earth. Some people have Archangels or other Beings of Light who have never had a physical body as their Spirit Guides.
Spirit Guides usually are not your loved ones in spirit, especially if they have passed on recently or during your lifetime. However, it is possible to have an ancestor (further back in your family tree) as a Spirit Guide, but this is not very common.
Spirit guides are not always of human descent. Some spirit guides live as energy, in the cosmic realm, or as light beings, which are very high level spirit guides. Some spirit guides are people who have lived many former lifetimes, paid their karmic debts, and advanced beyond a need to reincarnate. Many believe that spirit guides are chosen on "the other side" by human beings who are about to incarnate and wish assistance.
We have several spirit guides – but all have at least one, our Master Guide, who is with us from birth until death. There are others who stay with us as well, and others who come into our lives at certain times when we need them, and then move on to help someone else when they are no longer needed. Many people find their Spirit Guide to be something like an old Native American sage, Indian sage, Christian saint, Pagan priestess, or even Ascended Master or Archangel. Some also find their Spirit Guide to be a well-known spiritual teacher, such as Jesus, Buddha, etc. or a God or Goddess of Greek, Roman, Egyptian, or Pagan cultures. This is not always the case – often one will discover the spirit guide to not really be anyone familiar to them, and this is just fine. Spirit Guides are normally not your deceased grandmother, grandfather, uncle, etc. They can be deceased loved ones from previous lifetimes or ancestors from this lifetime, who were deceased before you were born. This is actually rarer than the other cases. *It is possible for one guide to serve several people rather than just one! A Spirit Guide can be in more than one place at one time, just like the Ascended Masters and Archangels.
In this meditation, you will meet your Master Spirit Guide, who is with you from birth to death and is the guide with whom you should be familiar with before meeting your other guides.

To prepare for this meditation, please find a relaxing space and position with as little distraction as possible. It is best to close your eyes and allow yourself to be guided through the journey. Go with whatever comes! You will most likely think it's not real, but trust me, it's real! Do not be discouraged if you don't get a lot of information on the first try. You can listen to the meditation several times to get more information.
